My Story
My name is Ayden Shane Billingsley. I was born on September 4, 2007. When I was 2 days old I was transported to the Peyton Manning St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Over the course of the past 2 years I have had many surgeries and procedures performed. At around 9 months I stopped gaining weight. The doctors have run so many tests on me. In January, I was diagnosed with a mitochondrial disease called DNA Depletion Syndrome. The mitochondria is what gives the cells power. Without enough power the organs do not work correctly. If you were to look at me you would never know that anything is wrong inside my body. First off, I am very handsome; I get that from my Mommy. I am so very smart; I can count really high, say my ABC's, and do all kinds of things that amaze my parents. I have an older sister Courtney. She is 14 and my big bubby Oakley is 11. For such a young boy I am a very strong Christian. I love to pray. I pray before every meal and each night before I go to bed I say my prayers. I pray every night for GOD to heal me and to heal sick babies that I saw on TV. My only request is that you pray for GOD to heal me.
